I myself limit IP addresses to work IP, and LAN, so remote can't be so easily broken into. Probably no, it's better to interface with another remote control program to interface with the server back end. You only need to open an RCON port if you plan to do any RCON outside of the house. You will want to open for one ARK server, Ports 7777, 7778, 27015. So the computer (server) being fixed to one IP address, and the modem using that IP address for the ports that will be open. The computer and the modem require static IP addresses. I forgot to add: My server name is "AriesPlaysYT Server" I'm going to leave this server up full time until I can get this figured out! Thank you! I can add screenshots if needed just not sure what I should black out so others can't see for personal security. I would love to get this figured out so me and a few friends can play on the same server together as well as hosting unturned servers, etc.Īny questions please ask I'm sure I missed something in here somewhere! Also nothing.Īny help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. I have also since turned my DMZ on for my PC with the same IPv4 address. I have since also tried just completely shutting off firewall.also does not work. The first dozen attempts I made with the windows firewall I set 4 inbound rules (same as above) also putting in the ARK Server Management the "auto port forward" which created 2 new rules. All making 4 total rules (2 UDP and 2 TCP). With my external host being the ip i got from whatsmyip. I have port forwarded on my router (Spectrum RAC2V1S, Modem: technicolor DPC 3216) I have made a TCP and a UDP for Internal/External Ports 775 each. (Never tested to see if another PC could access the server since this is my only "super pc" that's capable of running ark, let alone a server and ark at the same time) I have searched for a couple weeks a fix and nothing.Ī successfully created server for LAN. I'm having the same issue with unturned as well. Everything works.except for the server being online where other people can see. I have "successfully" gotten everything from my singleplayer (settings, player, dinos, etc) transferred over. I've finally ended up with "ARK Server Manager". So, I have been searching through forums for about a week now and have found A LOT of useful information on how to host your own servers.
